1.30 NON-CONFORMING USES
1.30.1 Reconstruction of: In the event of the damage or destruction by fire, storm, or Act of God of any building not conforming to the regulations of this ordinance, said building may be rebuilt or refurbished for its former non-conforming use provided such construction is started within a year of its damage or destruction and is completed within two years; any new structure shall, however, conform to the dimensional requirements of this ordinance and/ or pre-existing dimensions of damaged or destroyed buildings, whichever is more in keeping with the spirit and intent of the ordinances.
1.30.2 Discontinuance of: In the event a non-conforming use is discontinued for a period of more than one year, it shall not be permitted to recommence; thereafter the property shall only be used in conformity with this ordinance.
