The Health Officer is located in the Inspectors office on the lower level of the Town Hall. Office hours are Monday thru Friday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. (depending on appointments for test pits, septic system inspections, etc.). The Health Officer, Larry Middlemiss, can be contacted at 603-642-3342 x106, or by cell phone 603-608-8614; fax 642-4108. If not available, please leave a message, or e-mail healthofficer@kingstonnh.org.
Some of the duties of the Health Officer include, witnessing test pits, review and approvals of septic system designs, bed bottom inspections of septic systems, backfill approvals of septic systems, Issuing permits for new wells, Occupancy permit inspections of new homes, Inspections of childcare facilities, Inspections of foster home facilities, answering complaints with regards to health issues.
