Kingston's Highway Department, in addition to maintaining the town's roads, oversees maintenance of the town's buildings and grounds. In recent years, because of serious events involving flooding and ice storms, the department has undertaken to mitigate these hazards with major projects including bridge and culvert replacement, facility upgrades and emergency planning.
This summer we completed five major culvert replacement projects along Ball Road, Great Pond Road and Mill Road. These projects will greatly lessen the chance of adverse flood impact during future storm events, and we thank area residents for their patience during construction.
