The Collector’s Office is responsible for collection of the various taxes warranted for collection by the Board of Selectmen. The statutes for collection are provided by RSA 72 of the New Hampshire Statutes, Annotated. Because it is the Board of Selectmen that determines who is taxed and for what amount, it is to that office that questions concerning taxation must be addressed. Questions as to amounts owed, interest accrued, date of payments, etc., may be addressed to the Tax Collector.

Contact the Board of Selectmen’s office for information about Exemptions or Credits for which you may be eligible. Also, be sure to stay informed and take part in the processes by which the budgets are adopted and tax rates are set.
