Dear Kingston Resident:

For over one hundred years the Kingston Fire Department has been providing emergency services to our community. This protection has been professionally performed by dedicated men and women who live here in the Town of Kingston.
Our firefighters and emergency medical technicians (EMT's) take great pride in ensuring that our neighbors enjoy the absolute best safety and comfort they deserve. However, as we strive to protect you, we are looking for some help -- your help!

The Kingston Fire Department is a combination career / paid call department that operates out of two fire stations located on Main Street and Hunt Road. The department has approximately 50 members that give hundreds of hours per year to help their neighbors, many of whom they have never met. The firefighters and EMT's are typical citizens who work a full time job and then take time from their personal lives to train to be the best firefighters and EMT's they can be. This "hobby" can be very rewarding, exhilarating and challenging. Most people that choose to get involved with emergency services enjoy it. The friendships that are made will last a lifetime. We call it a family -- brothers and sisters working together to help those in need. We have many different roles for citizens to help with: driving apparatus and operating pumps, operating the Jaws of Life, providing pre hospital emergency care and of course, performing interior fire fighting. All of these roles, individually or cumulatively, are equally important to us.

We are excited about sharing the opportunities that exist for you and how you can contribute to our organization. Everyone is always welcome to stop by and learn more about your fire department. Our personnel are here to discuss and explain the many roles in which you can assist us. Please expore our website where you can find a tremendous amount of information about the department, how to keep you and your family safe from fire, and how you can contribute to our organization.

We look forward to meeting you and starting you on a rewarding journey that will offer countless opportunities.

If you are interested in joining but unable to make the open house you can click here to email me, or call the station (603) 642-3626.

Yours for a safer community,

Bill Seaman
