RULES FOR USE OF TOWN BEACH

TOWN BEACH RULES

Kingston, New Hampshire

Adopted 3/25/13 by the Kingston Board of Selectmen

      The town beach is located at the site of the Kingston Community Recreation Building, 24 Main Street.  It is for use of Kingston residents and taxpayers and their guests only.  A facilities use sticker is required to be displayed on the windshield of any vehicle parked on the site.  Stickers are available from the Kingston Town Clerk.  The following rules are to be followed, and persons found violating the rules may be evicted from the beach and/or face prosecution.

 

  • The beach is open between the hours of 7:00 am and 8:00 pm only when the Kingston Recreation Summer Camp Program is not in session.
  • THERE IS NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY. Persons using the town beach do so at their own risk.
  • Children must be accompanied at all times by an ADULT.
  • Town property is not to be removed, damaged, defaced or destroyed in any way.
  • Please carry out all litter and keep the beach safe and clean at all times.
  • The beach area is not to be used as a launch for boats of any size.
  • All babies must wear a diaper on the beach and in the water.
  • No horseplay and no throwing of items other than beach balls or Frisbees is allowed.  No dangerous or destructive behavior will be tolerated.
  • In case of thunder or lightning, the beach will be immediately closed.
  • No dogs or animals are allowed on the beach at any time.
  • No tobacco or alcohol products are allowed on the beach at any time.
  • No glass containers of any kind are allowed on the beach or in the water or in the parking area.
  • Fishing is not allowed near the swim area.
  • There is to be no swimming before sunrise or after sunset.
  • Do not swim alone.
  • Stay within the designated swim area.
  • No fires or portable cookers are allowed.
  • Do not feed wildlife or leave food of any kind.
  • Disturbing or loud noises or music is prohibited.
  • No vehicles are allowed on the beach.

PERSONS FOUND IN VIOLATION OF ANY OF THE RULES MAY BE EVICTED FROM THE BEACH AND/OR FACE PROSECUTION
