Volunteer Opportunities

The Town of Kingston’s Solid Waste and Recycling Committee is active in informing town residents on the ever-increasing demands and operations of controlling waste while they work to divert items from the waste stream. Fluctuating world-wide recycling markets and commodity prices impact us right down to the local town budget and tax level. Here’s your chance to bring your ideas and participate in the committee’s decision-making process to help educate residents and reduce our impact.  Meetings are held the second Wednesday of the month at the Kingston Public Works conference room located at 12 Main St. For more information on how you can help, contact the Kingston Public Works Department 603.642.8042 or talkingtrash@kingstonnh.org

Are you a Kingston resident who would like to get involved in your community? Consider volunteering to serve on a Board or Committee in Kingston.  You don’t need any specific skills, just a willingness to get involved.  The following committees are looking for volunteers to complete their membership:  the Heritage Commission, Historic District Commission, Recreation Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustment, Solid Waste & Recycling Committee, and the Planning Board. Many of the available positions are as alternate members which will allow you the ability to learn while you participate. The function of each of these committees is available on the Town’s web site.  If you are interested in participating, the contact information, and committee function, is listed on the Town’s web site at www.kingstonnh.org or you can send a letter of interest to the specific Committee at 163 Main Street, Kingston, NH  03848.
